The driver of a pickup truck that collided with an 18-wheeler in Berkeley County died Sunday from his inuries. The driver was John Waddell, 56, of Walterboro, said Coroner Bill Salisbury. His truck and the 18-wheeler collided at S.C. Highway 311 and County Line Road in Cross on Jan. 25.

A man is facing DUI charges after authorities say he struck a Berkeley County deputy who was directing traffic on the outskirts of Moncks Corner on Tuesday night. Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say 45-year-old Jeffery Grover struck the sheriff's deputy who was helping reroute traffic around a previous wreck on South Live Oak Drive near Frederick Douglas Road just after 7:15 p.m.

Authorities say a bicyclist was killed after crashing into a school bus in Berkeley County Monday afternoon. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the bicyclist was traveling east on Universal Circle when it shifted lanes in front of the school bus.
